Typically, clients that come to me are adults that have experienced childhood trauma (aka developmental trauma). As an adult, you may now find yourself facing persistent patterns that affect your body, relationships, and overall quality of life. These behavioral patterns are typically learned survival adaptations. In our work together, we’ll gently uncover these patterns and begin the process of shifting toward more adaptive, grounded ways of being—ones that foster greater peace, connection, trust and resilience.
Working through past trauma doesn’t always have to be a painful experience—especially when we approach it with curiosity and a willingness to listen to the wisdom already within you. Together, we’ll explore how your early experiences may still be shaping your present-day life: from how your body holds stress, to how you tolerate difficult emotions, connect in relationships and respond to discomfort. Our work will focus on gently increasing awareness, capacity, and compassion for yourself in the process.
Trauma can feel heavy, overwhelming, and at times impossible to face—but I promise you don’t have to carry it alone. In our work together, I will use modalities that support deep trauma healing, gently guiding you through the pain points with care and intention. While the journey isn’t easy, it’s worth it. My approach is rooted in helping you move away from self-criticism and toward curiosity—creating space to rediscover who you are beyond the hurt.
My primary focus in our work together is to establish a strong therapeutic connection and a foundation of trust. In my experience, this relationship is one of the most significant factors in creating lasting change. I draw on several therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which is especially effective in addressing childhood trauma and painful memories that may feel overwhelming to process. I also incorporate somatic approaches that help cultivate mind–body awareness, supporting you in reconnecting with your emotions, physical sensations, and the deeper parts of yourself. I also always aim to bring some lightness and laughter into our sessions.
